 Romeo Must Die (2000)
IMDB rating: 5.70
Plot: In this modern day Romeo and Juliet, kung fu action star Jet Li plays Romeo to hip-hop singer, Aaliyah Haughton’s Juliet. Li is an ex-cop investigating the murder of his brother, who had ties with the Chinese mafia in America. Aaliyah plays the daughter of the American mob boss. Neither side approves of their romance, so, obviously, kung fu action ensues, with a soundtrack by Aaliyah.

are Asian men that unromantic?
do you ever tend to realize that in a lot of movies especially action movies Asian men normally tends to get the little brother-sister hugs and petty kiss. I mean when you watch movies the asian men are unattractive, short and don’t speak english ever well.. and they seem to see any romance, you know like Asian men are cold and don’t know how to through it down in the sack…LOL!! for example the Romeo must die and Ninja Assassin. …
thats a stereotype
if you believe that
your mind is brainwash by the jews of hollywood
ONLY WESTERN MOVIE PROTRAYS THAT
if you watch korean drama or taiwanese drama
its different
asian men have a realistic and normal role

So you’re going to judge a group of people based on what you’ve seen in a movie?
Movies give a very distorted view of reality. If you go to asian countries, the only black people you see in movies are thugs or fat black women. Does that mean that all black men are thugs or that all black women are fat?
No. TV is TV, reality is reality. Learn the difference.

I’ve seen some pretty hot and sexy Asian men. But then again I’ve never believed that stereotype about them. Ken Watanabe or R&B singer/actor Rain or Rick Yune or Russell Wong that is just to name a few.

All those guys are handsome as hell and their bodies I absolutely lust after lol.

American media has put Asian men in a box. They either make them the nerd or the cold hearted martial artist. You should look at Asian media, specifically Korean dramas, if you want to see Asian men portrayed as romantic.

watch movies made in Asia. Not the American ones
??? ?? | Dec 30, 2009
Us Asian men are the most romantic sentimental lovers in the world. We are not subhuman caricatures like Hollywood movies makers portraying us on TV and the silver screens.

Hollywood hate Asian guys. This is away for white people to eliminate competition and make it easier to sell their whiteness.
Go watch Korean Drama.
Are black women that pathetic? I mean, I see movies and black women are loud, obnoxious. Get my point.
Asian guys are lot more romantic than white people. STOP WATCHING TV.

Society refuses to accept Asian men in romantic roles. Sad but true.
