Romancing the Stone (1984) IMDB rating: 6.80 Plot: Joan Wilder is a mousey writer of romance novels. She finds a package from her sister mailed from Colombia in her mailbox. A call from her sister tells her that she has been kidnapped and that bringing the package to Colombia is necessary for her safety and release. Being fairly clueless, she leaves for Colombia to rescue her sister. She is lost within hours of her arrival. She is nearly murdered by one of the men searching for the package when Jack Colton, a fairly low life American rescues her. They begin a journey through the jungle with bullets flying nearby. Why did he get (supremely) annoyed at me ?
It was a conversation via msn, and at some point I implied that he was worth my time. Then later on, I told him I really want to ask him a particular question but "it’s a bit hard for me". He asked in a joking manner that he "bet it was crucial to our friendship". And when I told that I didn’t want to ask just yet, and maybe some other day, he seemed to get genuinely annoyed and said "f*ck you. No seriously, screw you".

No one trusts anyone and every step is shaded with the unexpected.

Better heist movie: Ocean's 11 or The Italian Job?

I liked them both. When it comes down to it I’m thinking bigger crew, Vegas casino, and one arrest or smaller crew, smaller heirst, crowded city streets of Los Angeles and no arrest. As far as which one was better I think that I would have to say Ocean’s 11. Ocean had more people but I just think since the heist was so big, I mean it was a Las Vegas casino, and even though in The Italian Job they made the heist in the middle of the day on crowded streets with all the extra tricks and security and still got away clean, in Ocean’s they made it seem like robbing a casino in Vegas was impossible.

What do you think of Kara Dioguardi?
I don’t like her because she seems full of herself. I miss Paula Abdul because Paula was sweet, kind, pretty, and sympathetic. Kara is just a stuck up bitch who wants everyone to know she can sing. I saw how she was trying to outsing that bikini girl on American Idol two times! She was clearly a jealous woman who feels threatened by young, tanned women looking better than her 40 year old self. Yes she’s pretty, but to flash yourself on stage is way sluttier and unnatural than a young 20 year old walking in a bikini. She tries so hard to be like Paula by calling the contestants terms of endearments such as Honey and Baby, only she comes off insecure. They could have gotten a better judge like Shania Twain because she’s more like Paula Abdul with that sweet, sympathetic attitude.

I’m not sure very many people have taken to her as they had to Paula. I do agree with you on how she comes off as insecure. I found her fighting with Katy Perry particularly amusing. you can probably credit that to insecurity as well. Katy is great. Kara is trying to hard to be superficial to fill a gap.

What did you think of the Tebow Pro-life commercial?
I mean in a sense it seems pretty balanced for both pro-choice and pro-life, since his mom basically said she ‘chose’ not to abort him. Right?

Was there a reason for this or was it all in fun?
I’ll start by saying I don’t care if FBI, CIA, or any other crap comes knocking on my door, for I’m openly going to say what is blatant truth in my eyes, and this life isn’t meaningful anyway if injustice will continue regardless of what I do.
The US government wants to portray itself as a just, responsible entity, entitled to judge whomever it wishes, however it wishes. In the recent Obama speech, he said "The wrenching debate over the Iraq war is well-known and need not be repeated here." Why the heck not? According to Muslim rights agencies, over one million Iraqi citizens have died as casualties of war, and less than 3,000 American soldiers, however, CIA reports only 100,000 Iraqi casualties. The one extra zero accounts for quite a lot: the Iraqi children, mothers, and fathers had the right to live until their end by nature–not by a corrupt politician who hasn’t experienced the loss of relatives when what the casualty already had could be counted in the tens. Those poor people died by complete strangers: they did not want you to come to liberate their country; they did not want to bow down to foreign corrupt forces to be abused and used by them. Did those lives die in vain? I don’t think so, for there is a God and he must have a purpose.

Man on the Moon (1999) IMDB rating: 7.30 Plot: Man on the Moon is a biographical movie on the late comedian Andy Kaufman. Kaufman, along with his role on “Taxi,” was famous for being the self-declared Intergender Wrestling Champion of the world. After beating women time and time again, Jerry Lawler (who plays himself in the movie), a professional wrestler, got tired of seeing all of this and decided to challenge Kaufman to a match. In most of the matches the two had, Lawler prevailed with the piledriver, which is a move by spiking a guy head-first into the mat. In one of the most famous moments in this feud was in the early 80s when Kaufman threw coffee on Lawler on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” got into fisticuffs with Lawler, and proceeded to sue NBC.
